The archive gathers dishes borrowed from the cooks who taught us — asado men, pit masters, market grandmothers, and the occasional French chef who wandered too close to the coals.

What started as cooking for friends became cooking for their friends, then their weddings, then their weekends away. Belafonte is the answer to the question every guest kept asking: can you do this at ours?
We believe in seasonal produce, patient smoke, and the idea that dinner should feel like an event even when it’s held in a kitchen.
